Hi, I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I'm a career and leadership coach, the head coach for JobSearchCoachingHQ.com. Let's talk today about becoming known. And let me start off with a question.

CIO salaries are multi million dollar. Let me restate that. CIO compensation is in multimillion dollar base salary, bonus, incentives, multi million dollar packages. Do you think they're applying for jobs on LinkedIn? How about the Wall Street Journal? Do you think they're applying through jobs there. Of course, not.

What happens is most of these men and women are becoming known. They're branding themselves. They're developing celebrity for themselves. Do you think they just did that in the last year or two? Do you think that was a longer term strategy on their part, to become celebrity to become known, to become the expert, the well known expert? Of course, not. They worked over time to develop a brand or reputation. They were interviewed in a variety of different medium, they attended conferences, spoke at those conferences, did a whole host of things. And most of you are sitting around applying for jobs on websites. What's wrong with this picture?

I don't care if Youy aremost junior person in your organization or the most senior. Your goal is to be known. To be known so you can cut the line. So that firms are reaching out to you because they've heard of you. They've heard of you. They know you and they trust you.

I'll just simply say, if you do it any other way, the more senior you are, the more you're on the conveyor belt. You don't want to be on the conveyor belt of life. You want to be the person who's running the conveyor belt not sitting on it.

If you're Interested in coaching, if you're interested in having someone as your ally throughout your career, reach out to me. You can do it through my website, TheBigGameHunter.us.. you can message me through LinkedIn. My page there is linkedin.com/in/TheBigGameHunter. If you do it that way, once we're connected, message that you're interested in a conversation. Will set up time for a free discovery call.

Hope you have a great day and take care
