Why Aren’t You Getting Anywhere?

There’s no shortage of information that you have access to. So, why aren’t you getting to where you want to get to?
What Are The Real Rules in Your Organization
Why are you getting nowhere? Are you getting no work with a job search, with your career? with hiring better? With improving your management skills? Being a better leader? Why aren’t you getting better, and more instinctive with how to handle workplace issues?
I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m a career and leadership coach. I work with people around the world to improve them in all those different areas. And no, I’m not pitching you right now for me, I’m talking about you.
And in speaking with you about you, I want you to recognize there’s no shortage of information. It’s all out there in lots of different forms. You can Google it, you can YouTube it, you can go to specific websites, and learn what it is that you need to learn.
Where it’s breaking down is with you. You’re not putting it into action. You’re reading it, you’re watching it, you’re listening to it, you’re nodding, but you don’t do the work, and not doing the work to put it into action. Maybe you do it one time. But you’re not learning and making these part of your repertoire. They are one trick, one time efforts. They get you some results then, but not all the time.
Maybe it’s coaching you need. I don’t know. I’m not going to sell you on it. I’ll just simply say, you’ve got to do more work to make all these things that you’re hearing and watching and reading part of your vernacular, part of your nature, part of who you are, so that you get results.
And that’s . . . well, frankly, I do no BS, coaching advice. I help with job search and all the other things I spoke about. But what’s frustrating is to see so many people who watch my videos, read my content, listen to me on my podcast, and they nod and nothing happens. That’s not with me. That’s with you. You’ve got to put it into action. You’ve got to learn it at a deep level to make it work.
