If you work in creative fields, and you’re trying to get more interviews, you can use creative methods to do it. For example, one of my favorites was someone sending an individual shoe in a box to a hiring manager, asking if they could get their foot in the door. Another one I saw recently was a box of jelly doughnuts being sent to a firm and it said, ‘most resumes end up in the trash, mine in your belly. And then there was a commercial for what this person could do. And it also said, ‘This is not a mistake.’ I love that part of it. So they delivered it through Postmates and thus they were able to get someone’s attention.
