Both corporate and agency recruiters are pretty simple people. These are the skills most noticed by them.
I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m a coach who helps people professionally in

wants to know what skills are most noticed by recruiters. I love this question. The
easiest question I could ever answer. Let me let you in on the secret.
What recruiters are looking for, what skills they notice most are ones that
their client cares about. So for example. I’m trying to fill a job for a
particular background. I could be an agency recruiter or a corporate
recruiter. I have a hiring manager. I’m trying to service them. What they told me
they want because if I do I would be paid a fee, right? So it’s a real basic
question– they only care about what their client is looking for.
Not sure what they’re looking for? Go to their website. Take a look at the
job listings they have there. Look at what they have on LinkedIn or on Indeed.
You’ll see what firms are looking for and the specific recruiter doesn’t
really care about what other firms are looking for, what other agencies are
looking for. They just care what their client wants them to find.
