Recession-proofing your resume and your LinkedIn profile requires a slight change. Whereas you’ve always talked about your successes, and that’s great, you also have to illustrate your resilience– situations where you had to adapt quickly to change, negative change, budgets being cut people left, a lot of sudden negative situations that could have impacted your work.

If you work that into your resume and connect the dots for people, it will go a long way to getting more interviews, because they don’t think that through. You can talk about a lot of different things, but unless you make it obvious to them, how you reacted and how you responded to change like these, they won’t see it.
