Why is it so hard to find a job when
you're 60 and laid off?

I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I'm a coach who helps people professionally in

a number of different ways. Yeah, the easy answer is to talk about ageism and it

certainly exists but it's not the only
reason that one's on the external market

and how it affects you but there are
things that are within your control that

you're probably not doing most people I
know who are over 60 which in case you

haven't noticed so am I) when they look
for a job, they send that resumes the job

ads. They don't customize their resume. They don't tailor it to the role. They don't

demonstrate how they fit. They, in effect, send spam to job ads

The job they apply for jobs ads they've
heard the phrase the black hole to

describe applicant tracking systems but
that's all they do they don't they don't

the line to get to the front of the line by being referred by someone. They don't interview particularly well

because they're afraid of it . They never
practice interviewing and they bomb and

the result winds up being you're sitting
there wondering why there are no jobs

for you. Get someone to coach you, whether it's me or someone else for me my

website, TheBigGameHunter.us. Yeah, there's a lot in the blog there but it's not

customized for you so if you're

time for a free discovery call or

schedule time for coaching I'd love to
help you practice practice more most

people whether they're 16 or 26 go to
interviews and they've never rehearsed

their answers to predictable questions.
Practice. Practice. Practice for all the

great athletes in the world practice,
right? All the great entertainers

rehearse and you're going on an
interview and the first time the words

are ever going to come out
mouths or at the interview it's no

wonder you may be bombing. So, there's lots of variables that go into this that are

in your control you need help get
someone to coach you having a website
