Job Search Branding Lessons from Your Local Supermarket

Hi!  I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m called the Big Game Hunter. . . . It started when I did recruiting, I would hunt down leaders and staff for organizations antd did it for a long time. And now I offer no BS career advice to people globally. And today, I’m going to talk with you about the importance of personal branding for you. And I’m not suggesting you become a Kardashian. But I want to show something to you.

And the first thing is, when you go to the store, and you’re picking out something, and there are lots of things on the shelf of the exact same type of product,Career branding you pick one in particular because of the price, because of the name recognition to you, because you were told to do it. It’s part of the brand that even if you are purchasing a generic, the branding there is that it’s cheaper. So I’ll just simply say branding is important.

I want to talk with you about 10 reasons why you should put effort into building a personal brand. And the first one is it helps you stand out in a crowded job market. By creating a strong personal brand, you can differentiate yourself from other job applicants and make a lasting impression on potential employers. Number two is personal branding can help you build credibility and trust. By consistently presenting yourself in a certain way and consistently delivering on your promises. You can establish yourself as an expert in your field and build trust with your audience.

Next, personal branding can help you attract better job opportunities. By creating a strong personal brand, you can showcase your strengths and expertise, which can make you more attractive potential to potential employers. Personal branding can help you build a stronger network. By sharing your ideas and expertise consistently. You can connect with other professionals in your industry, and build a strong network of contacts. Not because you post something one time or share something one time. The key word there is ‘consistently.’

Number eight. Personal branding can help you attract new customers or clients and by establishing yourself as an expert in your field, you can attract new customers or clients who are looking for someone with your skills and expertise. I know I’ve been able to do that with videos like this ,with my podcast, with my OTT television show, and with comments that I share or opinions that I share online.

Number nine, personal branding can help you build a loyal following. By consistently sharing valuable content and interacting with your audience, you can build a loyal following of people who are interested in what you have to say and what you do. Lastly, personal branding could help you have a greater impact. Because of your strong personal brand, you can have greater influence and reach a wider audience with your ideas and expertise, which can help you build a bigger impact in your field in the world, in general.

Personal branding is so important and so many of you neglect it. And it’s a mistake on your part. In order to be successful professionally, you need to be known and not just simply a well-kept secret. Become better known and more opportunities are going to come to you.
