It is very important to find ways to cut the line and get to the front.

One way to start getting more interviews is to become more visible. Remember, who knows about you? Is it just people that you work with, which makes it a pretty small universe or are there people outside your organization who know about you?
Who can recommend you? Who will attest to your capabilities? Have you written about a subject? Have you spoken at a conference? Have you volunteered for trade groups, supported them at conferences? Becoming more visible is critically important in our times, to be able to cut the line to get to the front.
Again, you don’t want to be online with everyone else. You want to be at the front of the line. You want to be at the head of the line, to be able to attract more organizations and more hiring managers to you.
