This one is the basic scenario that plays out . . . and is sooo avoidable.
You lose your best people to boredom. I know you need them to do this job, but they get bored. And thus, when someone calls them and says, ‘I’ve got a client. They’ve got a great opportunity that would fit you to a T. The work is going to be sparkling. It’s going to be beautiful. Everyone’s going to love you. They can pay you more money. You know, they start getting susceptible, right, because they’re bored. Same crap, different day.
Your managers need to figure out how to put some spice into the relationship, just like in a marriage, and thus, when marriages turn dull, they go to seed, too. Same thing with your employees.
