I’m beginning a series on how recruiters help to poach your top performers. In this video, we’re going to talk about one of the simplest things they do– they create excitement over the new.
Your top performers have been doing the same work for a while now. And although you recognize them as great people, and talented individuals, they feel stuck and they get bored. One thing about many top performers, is they like variety, they don’t want to get stuck doing the same tedium over and over again.
What recruiters are able to do is kind of angle up next to them and go, ‘I’ve got a great opportunity. It will leverage your experience with such and such. They are great people. I’ve known this manager for years. And I think the two of you would get along.’ This kind of attitude, this approach to your people gets them excited, and that’s what they’re missing.
