Employer branding reminder– 95% of job hunters make a decision to apply based upon a firm and its reputation. The reminder is your managers can take advantage of that, in terms of how they present themselves, how they reinforce that reputation with a job hunter, when they interview them.
You want people walking out of the interview really wanting to join your firm, not lukewarm about it. And too many managers don’t really play up the reputation of your firm as part of the sales process to encourage people to join.
Let them do that. Make them fall in love so this way even if you turn them down, they feel so disappointed and tell their friends how they really wanted to join your firm but got shot down.
