If you listened carefully to your example of the obscure talent candidate
and your client, and you say the canidate was declared ‘weird’ by your
collegue, so was your client ever satisfied after that? If the need is
rare, and you discount the candidate so out of hand, you hurt your client,
the candidate, and your company. Try talking to the ‘weird’ ones and see
why they come across that way. Some understanding on your behalf is needed
here. That is no BS!

I don’t know what it was my colleague experienced with this person. At
times, the weird ones do things like, beg me to get them in to my client
for an interview & then never return my call to schedule them a day later.
Another sent me a resume and when I called him an hour later blasted me for
interrupting his home improvement (like I knew he was working on his
kitchen at the time). That’s weird behavior; knowing my colleague, he is
very level headed. Something happened.
