10 part time jobs for retirees that might even be fun. I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. People hire me for no BS coaching and career advice globally because I make things easy for people. And that can relate to job search, hiring more effectively, managing and leading, dealing with workplace issues and much more. And I thought this would be a fun thing to do. If not for you, it could be for a family member, or a friend who’s just trying to figure out what they want to do with themselves. All of these jobs offer different types of fun. Some offer opportunities for socializing
and meeting new people, while others offer you the opportunity to pursue interests and hobbies.
So the first one is event usher or ticket taker. It’s ideal for people who enjoy attending events and interacting with people as an usher or ticket taker. You’ll help people find their seats and answer questions about the event.
Number two, tour guide. I know in my town, the tour guides have a great time. If you love history, art or nature, becoming a tour guide can be a great way to share your knowledge and enthusiasm with others. You can lead walking tours, museum tours, even bus tours.
Third– library assistant which is great if you’re an avid reader, because working in a library can be a great way to share your love of books, and help others find what they’re looking for. Yes, you’ll help with shelving, checking out books and helping patrons.
Four– pet sitter. If you’re an animal lover, pet setting can be a fun way to earn some extra income. You can take care of pets in your own home, or go to their home, the owner’s home, to feed walk and play with animals.
Five event planner. If you have a knack for organization, love to throw parties, becoming an event planner can be a great way to put these skills to use. You can plan weddings, corporate events, or any other large type of celebration.
Six personal shopper great for for someone who enjoys shopping and has a good eye for fashion. Thus, it’s a fun way to help others look their best. You can work with clients to choose outfits, accessories, even home decor.
Golf course attendant. Ideal for someone who likes spending time outdoors, loves golf. Thus working at a golf course can be a fun part time job. You may help with maintenance, work in the pro shop or even give lessons.
Eight– fitness instructor. If you’re passionate about fitness, becoming an instructor can be a fun way to stay active and help others get in shape. You can teach yoga, pilates, Zumba, or any other type of fitness class.
Nine– food tour guide. I love that one. If you’re a foodie becoming a food tour guide can be a fun way to share your love of cuisine with others. You can lead tours of local restaurants, food trucks, even farmers markets.
Last– freelance writer or Blogger. Ideal if you enjoy writing and having expertise in a particular area. It’s a fun way to share your knowledge and earn some extra money. Write about travel, food, fashion or any other type of topic that interests you.
Some of these jobs offer the opportunity to help others while others allow you to work independently and set your own schedule. Ultimately, the key to finding a part time job that aligns with your passions and interests is what you’re really going for. Thus, it’s not going to tax you too much and you’ll make some extra money.
