Writing Your Own Resume
By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
I’ve read quite a few hundred thousand resumes. Write as though you are speaking to someone instead of like a corporate lingo generator. If there is specific language or terms that might sound like jargon to someone not in your field, use them because that is the language of your industry. Your role is to connect with people so they want to speak with you. Make sure you illustrate your experience in ways that people understand you and what you can do for them. Connect the dots between your experience and what matters to them.
