There are many reasons why would jobs are reposted after a good interview. Here, I offer a few alternatives. They’re very logical if you place yourself in the employer’s shoes.
[spp-transcript]
Do you really think employers are trying to help you?
You already know you can’t trust recruiters—they tell you as much as they think you need to know to take the job they after representing so they collect their payday.
The skills needed to find a job are different yet complement the skills needed to do a job.

The company I work at does this all the time..they don’t have a slot but
they can interview. Happens a lot in the winter months when hiring freezes
apply yet managers want to have prospects ready when the freeze lifts.
Often several people are wooed simultaneously. I have seen positions
reclassified as needing a diversity hire. Bottom line – assume any job
opening is yours to apply to but never ever stop looking unless you have a
written offer with a start date, and even then keep going for 2 months –
our division was sold off and a brand new employee had literally 6 hours
notice we would all either be moved by the company or released once the
deal closed..

Hiring manger (not HR) told me that they are working on offer for me that I should receive in 1or 2 days but checked my email and saw the job was reposted. I’m not sure what that means. I will update this comment in a few days and hopefully the outcome will help readers understand what that means. I applied on 10/1 and it is now 10/29 so could be automatic like you suggested. We shall see.
Call the hiring and manager and ask when to expect the offer and if you were still going to receive the offer.
Jeff Altman thanks for the reply. I did receive offer today so it must have been automatically reposted as you suggested. The recruiter gave me a base salary range at the beginning but offered me 7K less than the top of the range so now I will need to figure out negotiating the top range. I also had interview today with a different company where hiring manger said “he hasn’t had the opportunity to hire someone like me in a while” and said I was the first interview of 3 he has to do so he will get back to me by Friday and asked about non compete and available stat date. I did let him know I was at the final stages of other interviews and expected an offer soon. I really like your videos it seems to be the most accurate
@Erik Williams Thanks for the update and congratulations on the offer. With the second firm, you played it well. With the first, speak to the hiring manager and do the negotiation with s/he. “Thank you for the offer. I am very excited about the prospect of joining. While this went overboard, another firm contacted me for a role that also interests me AND I was a little surprised that the offer was extended for less than the max dollars we discussed. If you would increase the offer, I would be prepared to cancel conversations with the other firm. DON’T MAKE THE THREAT THAT IF THEY DON’T YOU WILL CONTINUE INTERVIEWING. They know that; it doesn’t need to be said.
Good luck.

Thanks Mr Jeff, I needed these information, I am in the same situation, I did a job interview it went really good in general, it was on 24/02/2020 and the RH said that he will turn back to me on 05/03/2020, but suddenly and just 3 hours after the interview, I saw that they reposted and re-opened the role again. I feel uncomfortable… I sent today an email to the coordinator to thank him again for the trust, and I mentioned what I have noticed and I wrote: ” My interview with the recruiters made me even more excited to join your company.
I have noticed that the job offer has been reposted and I just want to express my continued interest in the role, and please If you need any additional information, feel free to contact me”
I don’t know if I did good ?
Thanks again Mr Jeff I really like your videos
I’m literally going through this now. I believe I had a strong interview. I had one phone interview and one zoom interview. There were only 22 applicants and they are looking for more than one person to hire. The only frustrating part is the job was reposted and the job description was changed 2 or 3 hours after my second interview and I have a final interview in a few hours. I understand if I haven’t been selected or I may have been one out of the several that will be hired, I just don’t want to interview again if I’m not getting the job.
There is no way of knowing yet until they give you some signal of interest. In the eman time, keep getting interviews and keep trying to impress the heck out of employers. You may wind up with an even better job!

If the job is “promoted” on LinkedIn, it gets auto renewed after it’s 30 days old, frankly don’t waste time thinking about it, you got 10% odds or less at getting the job, so no matter what happens, you probably didn’t get the job….
Someone who asked about it experienced the disconnect between HR (who posted the job and for whom it was automatically reposted) and the hiring manager. HR is trained to believe the job isn’t filled until the new hire walks in the door. The person below did receive an offer (although it was a lowball offer). Whether 10%, 25% or zero percent, following up with the manager was the way to go.
Why is your mic gigantic but can hardly hear you
There are some older videos like this one where there some technical problems. I apologize for the inconvenience.
