Hi, I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. People hire me for no BS career advice, where I take a holistic approach to a person their career. It can involve a job

Older professionals are at risk because as they know, there’s ageism, I’m not going to go through my speech about how people cop to ageism too quickly. I just want to focus on where you can go to find a job as an older professional. And yes, all the usual suspects. You know, whether that’s LinkedIn, Indeed, you know, company websites, all that stuff is true. And I want to add another place and that is jobs.aarp.org.
Yes, that’s the AARP website, and specifically the job board that they have. The reason I bring them up in particular, is that companies that advertise there have taken a pledge to not discriminate against older professionals. They have jobs all over the United States. They have positions of all types there. And it’s a good place that most people who are older wouldn’t look at.
I have to also tell you, if you’re younger, you can look there too, and apply there, as well. But the goal is for older workers, you need to remember about this site too, because they are specifically, you are less at risk of ageism than in other places.
