One of the most common complaints job hunters have is that no one is getting back to them after the interview. They’re calling, emailing, and texting. No one is getting back. Here’s How to do it by email. The same will work by phone or text.
If you've been on an interview, it's really common for employers never get back to you. And you call or you email time and time again and get no response. How do you get a response from them? I learned a trick when I did recruiting that worked like a charm. Let's say you email twice--no response. You call twice. No response. This is how you do it. You follow up and you say in the subject line, "Areyou ok?" That's it. That's the subject line. Are you ok? In the body, it says that I reached out to you a couple of times and I haven't heard back from you. I just want to make sure you're alright. This normally will guilt them into following up with you so that in this way, you get the information that you're really want. Really that works? Yeah, it works. Works almost all the time.
Great tip! Hope it helps someone figure out that they aren’t getting a call back (you know, the thing they’re not doing already to tell you that you didn’t get the job).
Maybe things work differently but I’ve never walked out of an interview and didn’t know what the outcome was (if I wasn’t offered the job on the spot).
I doubt people aren’t getting calls back if they’re applying for jobs they’re qualified for.
As someone in the tech industry, I far too often see people claiming to have done many things they haven’t – typically going out for jobs they cannot actually fulfill.
