How can I use the recruiter’s question about other interviews to my advantage?

38 Deadly Interview Mistakes to Avoid

How can I use the recruiter’s question about other interviews to my advantage? To your advantage, that’s a key part of the question. I think the only way to do that is, number one, not mention any specific companies at all. So, the idea becomes to say, hey, I’ve been talking to a few firms.

I have seconds and thirds scheduled with different organizations, but we’re not at the point where I think they’re going to be making an offer. What firms are you talking with? I prefer not mentioning that at this time. I don’t think it’s particularly relevant, but I’ve been talking to a few firms.

I have seconds and thirds scheduled with some of them. So, what company is this? Again, I don’t want to mention specific names. Now, if they really press you, you can say, one of the firms begins with an R and another one begins with a T. Now, it doesn’t even have to be true.

Just hear me about this. But you want to demonstrate that firms are interested in you because, again, like dating, the person who’s desired by others is more attractive to someone. It’s just part of human nature.

So, how you can use it to your advantage is really limited to demonstrating that other firms think that you’re an attractive candidate, that they’re interested in you. And they’re not quite at the point of proposing marriage to you. But you do have interest from them and expect . . . well, that you do have interest from them.

Let’s leave it at that. Okay? So, that’s about the only way that I can think of where answering that question can be used to your advantage. Now, folks, as you watch this, and you can watch this at a later date, of course, and contribute, put your ideas into chat on YouTube, LinkedIn, or send me a message through the LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/TheBigGameHunter to tell me exactly what your thoughts are about how that question could be used.
