- Courtney dreamed of being a veterinarian, inspired by her love for animals.
- Rachel’s childhood dream was to live on a farm and be close to nature.

The Journey of Discovering Purpose
As we grow up, our dreams and aspirations often change. Let’s dive deeper into our panel’s journeys of discovering their purpose:
Ken Coleman
Ken’s journey started with an interest in acting and a desire to become a lawyer. However, he soon realized that he could make a greater impact on people’s lives through public service. This realization led him on a path of political involvement and ultimately to his current role as a radio host.
Courtney Dykstra House
Courtney’s journey towards her purpose began when she started championing marginalized individuals. She wanted to be someone who pushes others forward, even if it means taking a backseat. Her passion for helping others led her to become an advocate for those who don’t believe in themselves.
Rachel Cruz
Rachel’s journey began in the field of advertising, where she discovered her love for creativity and strategy. However, after realizing the negative impact of advertising on women’s self-esteem, she decided to shift her focus to helping people achieve financial freedom. She now uses her skills in advertising for a greater purpose.
Christy Wright
Christy’s journey started with a passion for music and film. She initially pursued a career in the music industry but found herself drawn to the marketing aspect of it. Eventually, she discovered her gift for inspiring and encouraging others, which led her to become an author and speaker.
Eddie Cullen
Eddie’s journey took him from being a worship leader to working in financial education. He realized that his purpose was to help younger individuals break free from the cycle of financial struggle. Eddie’s own experiences with debt and financial insecurity motivated him to spread the message of financial literacy.
George Campbell
George’s journey started with a love for music and film, which led him to work at the Apple Store. However, after getting fired from his job, he decided to pursue a degree in communication and landed an internship at Ramsey Solutions. George discovered his passion for helping others improve their financial lives and has been on a mission to spread that message ever since.
John Dolone
John’s journey began as a musician, but he soon realized that his true passion was in helping others find their purpose. He made a transition into ministry and became a mentor for worship leaders. John’s desire to make a difference in people’s lives led him to his current role of guiding individuals in making the next right move.
The Challenges of Paying Dues
Discovering and pursuing our purpose is not always easy. It often involves facing challenges and overcoming obstacles along the way. Let’s explore some of the hardships our panel members encountered:
Ken Coleman
Ken faced the challenge of starting out in the world of politics, working as a lowly staffer on campaigns. He endured long hours, low pay, and even slept in the back of trucks to protect campaign signs. Despite the difficulties, Ken’s passion for public service kept him going.
Courtney Dykstra House
Courtney experienced the struggles of breaking into the world of broadcast news. She started by shadowing professionals and learning the ropes but faced rejection and had to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. However, her determination and persistence paid off when she received a call to fill in for a news anchor.
Rachel Cruz
Rachel faced the challenges of building her career in the financial industry. She started by selling sponsorships and booths for events while running her own small business. The road to success was not easy, and she often questioned whether her efforts would pay off. However, her dedication and hard work eventually led her to help people achieve financial freedom.
Christy Wright
Christy encountered the challenges of navigating her identity and passion within her work. As a speaker and writer, she grappled with the fear of becoming too focused on herself and losing sight of her true purpose. It took her years to rediscover her dreams and embrace her calling without fear of failure.
Eddie Cullen
Eddie faced the challenges of balancing his passion for music with the need to support his family. He worked long hours in ministry while also working at a coffee shop to make ends meet. Eddie recognized the fear of failure and uncertainty that held him back from pursuing his dreams and overcame it by realizing the value of his own voice.
George Campbell
George endured the challenges of working in the creative industry and facing uncertainty in his career path. After getting fired from his job at the Apple Store, he pursued education and landed an internship at Ramsey Solutions. George faced the fear of not knowing where his journey would lead but stayed committed to making a difference in people’s lives.
John Dolone
John went through the challenges of finding his purpose and facing uncertainty in his career. He initially pursued music but eventually transitioned into ministry, where he found fulfillment in mentoring others. John realized the importance of embracing the journey and appreciating the small steps along the way.
Embracing the Journey
Throughout their journeys, our panel members learned valuable lessons about embracing the process and staying committed to their purpose. They experienced setbacks, doubts, and fears, but they never gave up on their dreams. Their stories remind us that the path to discovering our purpose is not always straightforward, but with persistence and a willingness to take risks, we can find fulfillment.
Conclusion
Each of us has a unique role to fill in this world, and our journeys will be filled with both challenges and triumphs. It’s important to remember that the road to discovering our purpose is not always smooth, but it’s the obstacles we face that shape us into who we are meant to be. As we continue on our journeys, let’s be open to new experiences, embrace the process, and never lose sight of our dreams.
