Do you tell company B in this scenario that you have accepted a position with company A during the interview process?

    1. Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

If you tell them you accepted an offer, they will think you will do the same to them. What you can tell them is you have another offer. Some people will say, “So why don’t you take it?” “I prefer your job to this one if the money is right. If it isn’t, this one will be fine.” Which will lead to financial discussions.

Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter Should you share the detailed of your offer with the other employer if they ask?

@John Galt This is Bonnie for Jeff. He is booked heavily today and won’t be able to respond

@John Galt It depends. If you think their offer will come in low, then share it knowing it may scare them off. Telling them also establishes a marker for what you would accept that may or may not be accurate for them and their job in which case you have to tell them what you would take.
