Recession-Proof Your Career – 7 Ways to Make Sure You Land Your Next Job Stress-Free
Part of recession-proofing your career is being clear about what motivates you, what’s important to you. Periodically ask yourself this question– ‘What’s most important to me in a job or organization? What will I need to see or hear to believe it’s the right choice for me?’ Make up a huge list.
Once you have that list, it could be 30, 40 items. Makes no difference. Prioritize the list– number one being most important, and on and on and on. Then once you have that, ask yourself, ‘how will I recognize a firm will give me this? What sort of questions will I need to ask?’ Doing this keeps you on top of your game and allows you to see what’s going on at your firm, whether it fits for you, whether you should be exploring other options.
