The World Economic Forum periodically publishes articles related to the future of work. In this video, I refer to an article by Robert Brown https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/05/jobs-of-the-now-these-are-the-top-10-post-pandemic-jobs/ that speaks about a number of positions that are already here.
Hi, I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. And from time to time, I go through a website for the World Economic Forum. Weforum.org. And there's interesting stuff related to the global economy. From time to time, they'll also have information about jobs and their forecast for job opportunities. Now, there's an article that exists on the site. It's dated May 18 2021. And it's one about jobs of the future are here. Now, they're very clear that this is not their opinion, but they carry it on their site. It's written by let me just get the name, I want to say Robert Brown, but I could be wrong. Yeah, Robert Brown, and he's VP for Center of the Future of Work with Cognizant. And they offer up 10 jobs that are here now that were anticipated going forward. The first one, and I don't know how you get these jobs, I just want to be clear, but it's something to consider as you look ahead. One is a work from home facilitator. And, as they said, prior to 2020, 5% of companies have remote policies. Now, there are many more than that are needed. So these are basically jobs of now. Second one is a fitness commitment counselor. And thus, given the fact that, you know, people have equipment like, you know, Apple watches and Fitbit dashboards and then they want to do things but they sometimes need support, the idea of a fitness commitment counselor, and accountability coach is something that people are using. Number three is a smart home design manager. Number four is an XR immersion counselor. And this is about alternative reality and virtual reality issues. Number five is a workplace environment architect. Everything from health screenings to elevator commutes in the post-pandemic office architecture is about to go through a major rethink for human central design of real estate. Number six, algorithmic algorithm bias auditor, and thus, recognize that many algorithms had been programmed with biases because they were programmed by men and women with opinions. It's designed to deal with the biases that might exist that wouldn't stand for statutory scrutiny. Number seven, data detective openings for data scientists remain the fastest growing job in the tech heavy algorithms automation and AI family of this index that Cognizant has created. They help to bridge the gap to help companies investigate details in big data. Number eight, a cyber calamity forecaster basically anticipating state sponsored cyber attacks like the one at Solarwinds, and they point out that these forecasts for jobs grew by 28% in the first quarter of 2021. Number nine, a Tidewater architect. And this deals with issues related to climate change and sea level rising and will remain an omnipresent challenge. And lastly, number 10. human machine teaming manager. As they say, the unceasing rise of robots in the workplace continues unabated. Human machine teaming managers will operate at the intersection of people and robots and create seamless collaboration. These are quite interesting. And now they they don't exist in great numbers right now. But the forum and the Cognizant index indicates these are areas of growth. Hope you found this is interesting.
