Is It Important to Receive a Hard Copy of an Offer Letter?

By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
Times have changed and it is no longer essential for you to receive a hard copy of the offer letter. Here’s what you need instead.

How To Spot A Toxic Workplace (Part 1)

I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m a coach who helps people in a variety of
different ways professionally– job search, hiring more effectively, managing and
leading a whole host of different ways I help people before I start off I just
wanted to mention that if you’re curious about what other people’s experiences
of me are as a coach, go to my LinkedIn profile at linkedin.com/in/TheBigGameHunter
and look at the recommendations that I have from people you’ll see that there

are people who are very inexperienced and extremely
experienced who I’ve helped around the world so I’m just simply saying I can
help a lot more of you and I’d like to now today’s question is is it necessary
to receive a hard copy of an offer letter the answer is no you don’t need
to receive a hard copy but you do need to receive an offer letter minimally you
want to get a copy of an offer letter as a PDF emailed to you at a minimum so that
in this way you have confirmation of everything that you’ve been told about
the role and more importantly the compensation and any other agreements
that you’ve made with them why is this important it’s your legal protection a
PDF is less likely to be tampered with than with Word files. You know, yes, you can
reveal markups to see the tampering but just go for a PDF from someone. It
will make it a lot easier for you and it is your legal protection that the firm
has made an offer you don’t resign until you have the offer letter from the firm
or from the firm through the recruiting organization delivered to you hope you
found this helpful.. I’m Jeff Altman. Visit my web site,
