What Every Company Looks for When They Hire
I try to spend some time regularly talking about something related to coaching. I do that because I think many of us are stuck doing the same things over and 
over and over again. Life has become dreary. With that in mind, I thought I would do something to make my point about breaking out from that mold.
I was with some friends last evening, there were a few people with guitars and playing… And I sang. I used to sing with a band many years ago. My voice isn’t what it once was and it was just fun to let go a little bit. I thought I would annoy you sufficiently by saying an old song. Ready?
“Slow down. You moving too fast. You got to make the morning last. Just kicking down the cobblestones. Looking for fun and feeling groovy.
“Hello, lamppost. Whatcha knowing? I’ve come to watch her flowers growing. Ain’t ya got no rhymes for me. Feeling groovy.
“I got no needs to do. No promises to keep. I’m dappled and drowsy and ready for sleep. But the morning time drops all its petals on me. Life I love you. All is groovy.
Now the song ended in a particular way that’s irrelevant. I did this because it was fun for me.
What can you do that’s fun for you that you haven’t done in a long time? In one way or another, you’ve gotten the message to “shut up. Do what you’re told. Be well-behaved.” You know, practicing doing this from time to time will help you a lot.
For me, it is singing. For you, it may be riding a bike. It doesn’t matter! Just get out and do something that you like!
