If you want to be seen as an employer of choice, make sure that every interview that’s conducted and that every person in the organization understands the significance of the work that they do so that they feel inspired to do great work.
You see, one of the things I always hear about is the need to motivate. Motivation is lighting a fire underneath someone. Inspiration is lighting a fire within someone. If you can keep that fire burning, keep them excited, and not in the drudgery, but in the excellence of what they can accomplish, they will feel great and they will be a champion for you in your organization. But turn it into drudgery? That’s not really exciting for people.
