Develop a Personal Brand | No BS Job Search Advice

By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

In the modern economy, it’s crucial to establish a personal brand. A personal brand will help define who you are, what you bring to the table, and propel your career forward. Remember that the most important thing to remember when creating your personal brand is that it reflects how you can serve others, stay true to yourself and be proud of the things that make you unique. You can highlight all of your accomplishments – from your education to your experiences – to help others know who you are and what sets you apart.

The power of a personal brand lies in a combination of skills and experience. It’s power is not confined to the workplace; it can extend far beyond it.

A personal brand can help you generate business, find or become a mentor, or never look for another job again. If you’re a budding entrepreneur, your personal brand can be a tool for you.  Invest time in your personal brand to build your reputation and gain the trust of your audience or tribe.

Personal branding can also be beneficial for career changers, because it helps you tell your story to employers and amplify your career. A personal branding statement can serve as a sort of elevator pitch, which can be helpful when you meet prospective employers in an informal setting. You can use it to expand your social media presence and refine your online presence.
