Challenges to the HR Process

One of the most common challenges in the HR process is poor #hiring. For years, statistics have shown #employers have buyer’s remorse on almost 60% of #newhires within a year. Something is broken if the results are so poor.
And the feeling is mutual with your new #employees but it takes much less time for them to come to the same conclusion. This is consistent with Gallup’s statistics on #employeeengagement globally. US employee engagement is at 32% of full- and part-time employees working, while 18% are actively disengaged (I’m not sure whether the remaining 50% don’t care enough to click a box in a questionnaire one way or the other which, to me, would seem like disengagement).
The other part of the talent management challenge is reflected in misrepresenting institutional friction. People join with certain expectations and then meet face-to-face with reality.
No wonder you don’t get best effort from them!
