Can A Recruiter Find a Good Job For Someone Who’s Having Trouble Finding One? | JobSearchTV.com

“Can a good recruiter find a good job for someone who’s struggling to find one on their own?” Boy, do you have it backwards!

Instead of a Permanent Position

I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m a coach who helps people
professionally in a number of different ways and today’s question is can a good
recruiter find a good job for someone who’s struggling to find one on their
own?”

The answer is “only by accident,” and the reason I’m saying this is
because of the way you phrased the question– “finding a job,” because
recruiters don’t find jobs for people what recruiters do is fill jobs for
institutions who are trying to hire a particular person with a particular
background and are willing to pay them a substantial fee to do it they don’t work
for you . . . although they pretend they do.

What a recruiter does is fill jobs and, thus when you phrase the question,
“find a job for you, I have to say it’s not like recruiters get on the phone
and go ‘I got this great person; you’ve got to talk to
them! NOW ! They’re really terrific!” Doesn’t work that way and just look up theRecruiter | Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
definition of recruiter.

A recruiter is someone who’s finding people. They’re recruiting people;
they’re not finding jobs for people. so you know accidentally
it may occur but the probability is really small because the good ones don’t
work that way. The rookies, the beginners sometimes do because they don’t know any better
and their manager let this slip through the cracks.

So, I’ll just simply say, they’re not gonna find a job for you. Try filling a
job for a client of theirs with you.
