Be Prepared When You Interview Someone
By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
LinkedIn’s AI created another collaborative article that described this: ” One of the best ways to reduce the candidate’s anxiety is to prepare well for the interview. This means reviewing their resume, portfolio, or work samples, and having a clear idea of what you want to ask and learn from them. It also means sending them a confirmation email with the details of the interview, such as the date, time, location, format, and expected duration. This will help them plan ahead and know what to expect from the interview. “
I thought a little more realistically.
“In my experience, most interviewers look at a resume, make a decision whether to meet someone and that is the last time they think about it until the time of the appointment. In Word, or your ATS, take a minute to create comments for yourself–why you wanted to meet this person, questions you have about their experience, what you may want to explore in the interview–so this way you are building on your previous impressions and adding to them during your discussion. “
