In this video, Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter offers another great question to ask at the end of every job interview.

9 Ways People Sabotage Themselves on Interviews

Today, I want to talk with you about another great question to ask at the end of the job interview.

Most of you make the mistake of waiting until the end of the interview to ask about the job.  For those of you who know me, you know, I believe that is the very 1st thing you do in an interview; before they start asking you questions, you ask them about the role.  Thus, when you get to the interview, in another video, I point out a question you should ask. “So, let’s say you hire me and it is a year from now.  I have a just on a good job.  I have done a great job.  As a matter of fact, is among the best that you’ve ever seen someone do a role like this.  What what I’ve accomplished during that year that would cause you to write such a review?”  That is one question I would like you to ask.

Here’s another one.  You tell me which one you think is better to ask 1st.

“Tell me about a challenge are a lot of problems that you would want me to work on.”  What that does is give you an idea from the manager’s lips 1 of the key criteria they are going to be using to determine your success.  You can learn from that whether or not they are realistic.  I’ve heard this from people before, sometimes, “I was brought on to do such and such.  Low and behold, I wasn’t told this before I came on board, it was impossible to get done given the budget I had available.  I never would’ve taken that job and I know that going again.”  Why not know it before you accept the offer?  It’s really that simple.

Again, the question is, “Tell me about a life problem or challenge that you have that you want me to solve in the 1st 6 months after I come on board.”
