What Recruiters Know That You Don’t: They Aren’t Watching All Those Screening Videos
Do you want to know why your resume may not be getting responses that you would have really expected when you apply through LinkedIn? I can tell you why. I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. Someone shared an issue that they discovered, and remember, LinkedIn sells ads to employers to advertise for positions. They’ve recently implemented AI as part of the evaluation process on the front end before resumes get through to hiring managers and recruiters. And what this person discovered is unless you had the exact job title that was advertised for, people were getting rejected. Catch that one: AI was not recognizing synonyms in titles. All they knew was if it says it’s looking for a Business Analyst, it wants a Business Analyst. It doesn’t want a Senior BA; it doesn’t want a Senior Business Analyst. It wants a Business Analyst. Otherwise, you are rejected.
