A friend with a search firm for a job description to me that just want to put me to sleep. Why would anyone who is any good ever applied to job description like this? and frankly, yours are probably very much like it.

Hey Jeff, love the videos! I was wondering your thoughts on technical interviews or companies you’ve been at before? I’m finishing college and interviewing around but am trying to get a company I previously interned at to make me an offer. My manager from there is putting in a good word for me. Please keep up the good work!

I worked in search for a long time before transitioning into coaching. I don
t know beans about technical interviews because each organization and each hiring manager does them differently. You should push this hiring manager to get you on board. You know their systems and ways of doing things. You wouldn’t be a complete rookie stepping in AND sometimes it is hard to switch their thinking about interns . . . they got you for free and now have to pay you? That’s a mental switch for some firms.
