+Jason Raczkowski I have no idea what firm you are referring to and it’s relevance to the video. I do believe it is possible to disagree with an opinion without being disagreeable or insulting. What Recruiters do is work ford a corporation who pays them to find talent (you) to fill jobs that the firm will pay them for if the talent remains in their employ for an agreed to period of time. They don’t work for job hunters
Can you elaborate on the nonsense from both parties, with examples? I’ve interacted with many recruiters and my issues with them are similar to the example you gave down to the “But it’s a great company!” As an adult, I like when people call me with bad news instead of me having to pester them for updates I also know what I should be making and do not appreciate the attempt to browbeat me into taking less money than what I have made in the past
Tyler, different people have different experiences. Lord knows, since I left recruiting for coaching after 44 years in search, I have heard even more stories. I will just say that when I wrote an article called, “Why People Hate Third Party Recruiters,” it struck a chord with a lot of people.

I think everyone hates parasites
+Tom English Recruiters may not be your friend but to label as you did is a ridiculous exaggeration.

Parisites leach resources from the host offering no benifets, recruiters take resources by passing a resume to an employer for a fee while offering no tangible benifet, like leeches making a living off the labor of others.
Name calling does not shoe you well. The value of the recruiters may not be obvious to you …but then, again, they donβt work for you. They work for employers who pay them. They determine the value because you are getting what you pay for …and they are getting what they pay for and are continuing to pay for.
