When should you tell an employer that you need an accommodation because of a disability?
The Americans with Disability Act makes it very clear. There’s no need to tell an employer about a disability until an accommodation is needed. Ideally, employees discloses a disability and request an accommodation before performance problems arise, or at least before they become too serious. But there’s no obligation to tell an employer during an interview.
