Tough Interview Questions: What Kind of Environment Would You Like Best?
Hi! I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m a coach who helps people
professionally in a number of different ways– job search, hiring more effectively,
managing and leading workplace related issues career development executive
coaching . . . there’s a lot that I help people with.
Someone want to know what the Roman numeral II means on a job title like in software engineering II
What does that really mean?
The answer is the organization has different levels for the software engineering title.
Now I don’t know if a 1 is the highest level or the most junior level but they’ve
created a hierarchy around that title so that there are people who are more
senior and less senior and as such if you’re interviewing for a software
engineering position level 2 one of the things that you want to be doing is
finding out what their hierarchy is so that in this way you understand where
you fit in and also want to ask them so after I become whatever the highest
level of software engineering is here what’s the next promotion I’m hoping to
be considered for I’m Jeff Alban I hope you found this helpful
