I’ve come to realize that much of what I think I know is just other people’s opinions that I am parroting in my own way.
As a result, I’ve come to realize that when two people disagree what they are arguing over is whose opinion they haven’t thought through is right.
When you come to realize that what you are told is the truth according to a person and their opinion, before committing to something you can ask yourself the question, “How do they know that is true?”
You can even ask them that question.
I tried that recently and then was quoted back an article that someone else had written that was their opinion but didn’t have any supporting data shared to support the opinion.
Once you realize that everyone is giving an opinion, yours is just as valid as theirs and both of you can be completely wrong.
It’s better to test your opinions with facts that insist upon them with feeling.
I’m feelings should be part of the equation, too.
But just make sure you have the facts them right.
