I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter, I'm a coach who helps people do better in the workplace, and in your life, in general. You know, one thing I've learned over the course of time, is we're living in a tough environment where people Our kind of tough on one another. They're hard. There's a demand for perfection. And that's not just of other people. That's of ourselves. And the result of all of this is, life isn't all that fun for a lot of us.

So I want to encourage you to try and take the focus off of yourself and your imperfections because the more you focus on your imperfections, frankly, the worse you feel, and you're not going to get any better at it unless you really make the effort to work on it.

But one of the effort . . . one of the things that you can do that makes it easier, is taking some time. And the time can be taken to do something for someone else. Charitable conduct, nice conduct for others, is a wonderful way to remove the stress of your life. And frankly, that's what men do. That's what women do, in order to be gracious stewards in our life in general.

Not sure what to do. Let me give you a few ideas of some things. I want to give some credit here, I saw this, I was, frankly, I was thinking about doing something along these lines, and stumbled into something from, believe it or not, Reader's Digest. So they have, like 30 ideas, I'm not going to go through all of them.

But you know, what you can do is buy a lottery ticket and give it to someone on the street in winter. Help someone clean off their car, or shovel their walk. Something along those lines is wonderful. Helping a friend practice self care. Help a child in a time of stress. Praise a parent for doing something well. Lord knows, there's so many people who are kind of snarky about parent behavior with their kids. Say something nice to them.

See tourists in town? Offer to take a picture or they don't have to be tourists. They can just be someone, a family setting, offer to take their picture. You know, someone moves into your neighborhood, leave a welcome note. There's taking care of recycling. There is a whole bunch of things that you can do that are designed to really be kind and gracious to other people.

New homeowner moves in, you know, give them some help with the move in, not necessarily carrying things but ideas of places in the neighborhood. Introduce yourself to someone instead of waiting for them to do it for you.

Again, lots of things that are very easy that allow someone else to feel good. And in doing something for others, well, frankly, you feel good, too. There are many more things. Your imagination can be jolted in a lot of different ways.

You can cracked a joke. Clean, of course, that allows someone to laugh. But don't neglect your relationship with others. Be kind, be gracious, remove the stress from you, and give a gift to someone else.

I'm Jeff Albin. Hope you enjoy this. Hoping to try some of this? I know I'm going to do a couple of these things at different times. As I have been recently in a very conscious effort to make connection with people and be a little kinder.

So hope you have a great day. My website is . . . well there's TheBigGameHunter.us and there's NoBSCoachingAdvice.com
