Whether you are presenting a speech to a group or being interviewed for a job, what you wear makes a difference. It and yourmanner can put you over the top, or distract the listener to distraction.

On this video, I interview Barrie Barton, the head of standanddeliverAsheville.com about her observations and her experiences as a speaker and expert. What is particularly helpful (at least to me) is her eye to mistakes women may make that I wouldn’t spot.

We have a barking dog during the interview as well as an incoming call (my fault for not getting the phones out of the room.

    Presenting yourself well doesn’t take a lot. Being intentional, paying attention to some important details and stepping into a look that makes you feel you are in “your skin” is worth the effort. Your outcome can only be a positive one!
