Running | Career Angles
You can run fast. You can run slow.
It depends on your conditioning.
It depends on the length of the race and the amount of training you done.
Same thing runs true at work, too.
Are you running a marathon or sprint?
It took me a year to train for a marathon. What are you expecting your people to do? Run a marathon immediately or do they need to train for such a race?
How about that sprint? Sprinters pull muscles. They can tear and Achilles. They may never recover from what they’ve done.
Training and preparation exists everywhere.
How are you training your staff? How are you getting them conditioned to work well with one another? What kind of preparation and practice of the involved with?
“We don’t have time for any of that. We have work to do.”
Sure, you do and you may get lucky but most people aren’t.
Most people get the results that they practice and train for. In your case, if you’re lucky, maybe you get to mediocre.
Good luck with that.
