No matter what level you’re at, when hiring is done, it’s done on the basis of the perceived value of your impact on the project, on the organization, whatever it is. The bigger the number, the more you have to demonstrate you can hit that number for them. Take on a small project, you’re not going to get paid the same way as someone who’s taking on something big will because your impact on the enterprise, on this project, is going to be a lot smaller. So, the long and the short of it is, you have to demonstrate you’ve got a value to them and that’s about money saved, money earned, percentage improvement over what existed there previously. But no matter what, it’s always about the money
