EP 199 A poem by Jason Gee published in 2014 that I thought would help you start the day with appreciation and gratitude for those who serve you/us/me.

Hi! It’s Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter and as I’ve been doing for a while now this is the Monday morning poem of inspiration it’s called Lonesome Road by Jason Gee published in November 2014. I thought it was à propos for us as an appreciation for the people who have been supporting us during Covid-19 to just do a quick read of this poem 

As the miles passed by, I looked down at your pictures and want to cry. 

When I talked to you on the phone. All I can think about is coming home but that’s the price I pay out here on The Lonesome Road.

It’s hard to explain that Daddy has a job to do.

I have to deliver this freight on time so I can send money to you.

But that’s the price I pay out here on this Lonesome Road.

When you grow up, you’ll understand that this is the kind of man that I am.

But that’s the price I pay out here on this Lonesome, Road.

Summer I have missed a lot of you growing up. When I get in maybe I didn’t make it up but that’s the price I pay out here on this lonesome road.

There are folks out there who had to care for us and support us.

I just thought be nice way to start the week off with an appreciation for those who are driving, for those who are stocking shelves, for those who are packing our stuff on Amazon.

Just give them some appreciation. Have a terrific day. Be great!
