A lever amplifies an input force to provide a greater output force, which is said to provide leverage.
Components: fulcrum or pivot, load and effort
Examples: see-saw, bottle opener, etc
You can be a fulcrum or a pivot.
You can be the beneficiary of the leverage created or the creator of the leverage.
If you are the fulcrum or the pivot, you are the one who is doing the work.
If you are the creator of the leverage, you will probably be the one who initially profits from it.
However, if you are the beneficiary of the leverage in the force that creates, you may achieve the greatest benefit of all.
Before you agree to take part in something, figure out if you’re the fulcrum, the pivot, the creator or the beneficiary of the leverage.
