How To Get More Interviews: Develop a Portfolio Website
By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
When people think of portfolio websites, they think of them for positions that require a visual showcase. That’s a mistake.
One way to get more interviews is to develop a portfolio website. Now, most people think of that as being for graphical positions, or visual positions. Not true. You can be in something completely different. Have a blog that allows you to showcase your knowledge and experience.
The idea is the website is linked for people in your resume and your LinkedIn profile and allows people to see more of the work that you’ve done than just simply ‘I did this, I did that.’ That’s in your resume. You’re able to show them your thinking.
For example, you’re able to show them the visual parts of your work that you can’t do in a real resume.
Now, there’s a lot more on my website, TheBigGameHunter.us. Go to the blog. There is a ton there that will help and I’d love to help you. Have a great day!
