FEELING DEPRESSED About Your Search? Struggling? Feeling Fatigued?

Abigail Bowe’s a Talent Acquisition Professional based in California, and she landed a new job and wanted to share how she did it. I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. People hire me for no BS job search advice and coaching globally, because I make the process of finding work much easier.

And she wrote on LinkedIn, “None of the information below is new, but I wanted to share my advice to job seekers anyway. Use your network. Ask for introductions, make connections, reach out to mutual connections, et cetera. Put yourself out there. Attend job fairs, networking events, and webinars. Reach out and keep in touch with others who attend. This one I hadn’t thought of before. Create a personal Slack account and join channels in your industry. This is a great way to network but also a great professional resource, in general. Be open to pivoting into a new industry and do your research. Yes, apply, apply, apply. Take interviews for roles that you may not be crazy about. You may be pleasantly surprised. It’s also interview practice and networking and a networking opportunity. Use recruiters you know as a resource. We love to help. It’s our job. She’s a corporate recruiter, by the way. Most importantly, give yourself some grace, and take account of yourself first. This is great advice.

I hope you find that helpful. I’m Jeff Altman. I’m announcing today a new service called JobSearch.community. As I record this, it’s in alpha and I want to offer you a free Insider account. So you need to message me through YouTube or through LinkedIn. And I’ll send the coupon code that will make it free through January 1, 2024. Come over to the site, go exploring. There’s a lot there that will help you plus I’m doing live coaching . . . not live coaching but you can leave messages for me in the community area. I’ll answer.  Other people will respond. We’re there to help. Also connect with me on LinkedIn if we’re not already connected at Linkedin.com/in/TheBigGameHunter. Have a terrific day and be great!
