Here’s Why You Should Follow Up on Resume Submissions on LinkedIn #shorts

Overcoming Ageism in Your Job Search as an Experienced Professional
It pays to follow up on resume submissions that you make through LinkedIn. Someone I coach did that—even got a confirmation message from the platform saying, you know, “Resume’s been received; resume’s been submitted to the firm”—all the correct sort of stuff.
But she had taken the time to message the owner of this mid-sized firm and try and connect, mentioned that she had applied to this role, and got a message back saying, “Happy to connect, but we don’t seem to have received your resume.” Interesting, isn’t it?
So, follow up on resume submissions you make on LinkedIn. Find the person who might be receiving it or, in the case of a small to mid-sized firm, follow up with the owner. Connect with them, message that you had applied, and then see what happens.
