I use Facebook as an example of the time people waste on nonsense when they could be doing more meaningful things for their career or their lives.
Automation is coming on even stronger and many of you will see the day when your jobs are obsolete. Warehouses are becoming increasingly automated. So is driving. Doctors receive lab results and have evolved into coordinators of medical care.
Then, there’s your job which has changed a lot over the past few years. What aren’t you learning that you should?
If your job was next on the list, eligible for automation or offshoring, would you be on Facebook or doing something else?
People point to their employers as being the problem when, in fact, the signals were there and they chose to ignore them.
Tonight, don’t go online or turn on the tv. Do something that will make you better professionally.
