Figure Out What’s Important to You in a Job at the Start

So many people go into a job search without being clear about what they are looking for
If you don’t take the time at the beginning of your job search to figure out what it is you’re really looking for, what’s most important to you in the next job organization, how do you know the next firm you’re going to go work for is going to be right for you?
What will happen is they’re going to start selling you want a whole bunch of things to distract you from you and your needs. They’re going to talk with you about a great job with a terrific organization. We’ve got a team of people, we’re like family around here. They aren’t. You know that, but they’re really good salespeople.
So take the time to figure out what’s important to you in the next job or organization at the beginning of your search, before you’re being whipsawed by all these firms telling you come to work for me, come to work for me, and you’ll have a much greater chance of getting it.
