Doubt is a state of mind that reflects uncertainty about being in a particular situation.

It shows up in many situations.

“I doubt if I can do that well,” is something I’ve said to myself before knocking it out of the park.

“I doubt it,” means I don’t believe it . . . and that’s the truth of the word, doubt.

You don’t believe.

There is a cute story about a man walking up a mountain where he meets a clown with a unicycle and a wheelbarrow in front of a tightrope to the other side.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going across with my wheelbarrow. Do you think I can do it? I’ve already done it 3 times.”

“Yes.”

“Do you really think I can do it?

“Yes.”

“Do you REALLY think I can do it?”

“YES!”

“Great! Hop in!”

This kind of doubt is worthwhile. Most doubt reflects either a lack of information,  experience or skill.

Get more experience. Get more information. Develop your skills.

Eliminate doubt
