LinkedIn’s AI offered, “One of the first steps is to help them identify and highlight their transferable skills, which are the abilities and knowledge that can be applied across different contexts and industries. For example, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and project management are some common transferable skills that employers value. You can help them create a list of their transferable skills and provide examples of how they have used them in their previous or current roles. You can also help them match their skills to the requirements and expectations of the new career.”
Should I Use “Apply With LinkedIn” When I Apply for a Job?
I contributed, “When I work with someone, before we start interviewing at firms, I insist that they do informational interviews with at least 5 people who are doing the type of work they are interested in to ensure that their fantasy about what the work will be like meets with the reality of what it is like. You can’t just accept what one or two people say. You need to speak with at least 5 to identify patterns in the work that may exist.”
