Today’s questions are:

How should you edit your CV or resume to match a specific position?

How bad is it to regularly be 5–15 minutes late for work?

Why is it bad to tell a job interviewer that you’re looking for a different job in order to get paid more? After a good interview, when I said this, she changed her tone then abruptly ended the interview.

Why does Google hire people who have a Ph.D. in computer science but can barely write any code? If Google is a software development company, why would Google hire such people?

If a new hire knows within 2–3 months that the job is a bad fit for him, should he quit then or wait a full year to not look like he’s job-hopping?

Should people hire based on passion over experience?

Is wearing a shirt and tie okay for a Zoom interview? AND  Is it okay to wear a short-sleeve button-up beneath a casual sports coat?

Why should I hire a software engineer if I can just copy and paste code from Stack Overflow?

“We are still interviewing other applicants. We will contact you in 2 weeks if you are chosen.” If an interviewer says this, does that mean you did not get the job?

What makes a good leader?

Can leadership be taught?

What is the best way to seek permission to attend a job interview from my boss?

Do hiring managers feel they can accomplish a job interview just as well over the phone or Zoom, as they can with face-to-face interviews? Why or why not?
